Jay-Z Launches Lifestyle Blog, Kills It

With the unpublicized launch of a new (and very pretty) website, Jay-Z has officially moved into the lifestyle blogging business in impressive fashion. The Life and Times motto seems to be "Everything you need to know to be baller," and the writers tackle seemingly disparate subjects like the best shaving techniques and products, the hottest underground hip-hop in LA, and the awesomeness of the latest Rolls Royce.

Jay-Z has acquired some expensive taste in his middle age, and he's apparently eager to share it with -- if not fans -- then those who aspire to well-rounded social superiority. It's different from say Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop in that it's decidedly manly and makes no attempt to pretend its readers are as affluent as the website's creator.
