Christina Aguilera Opens Up About Life Under the 'Microscope'

Christina Aguilera's personal life has been in the spotlight a lot lately -- thanks to her divorce, new relationship, and recent public intoxication arrest -- and the singer is now speaking out about the trials of life under the "microscope."

At an event promoting her new reality show The Voice, the singer, who'll act as a judge/mentor for the program, said (via Us magazine): "We're only able to be seen through the microscope of the media and what people gossip about."

This was her first public appearance following her short jail stint, and though she didn't specifically address the incident, she talked openly about the pitfalls of fame: "You take the good with the bad. It's by telling our stories, sharing our experiences and really giving a first hand look at us as human beings [that shows] who we really are apart from what we seem to be," she added..

Rihanna Has Embraced Her Curves

Rihanna isn't one for covering up. Her performance wardrobes include spangled bra tops and tiny tasseled miniskirts that quiver with her every move, and she has definitely had a hand in making underwear as outerwear borderline blasé. So it's a surprise to learn that the pop singer hasn't always been confident about her much-beloved body.

In an interview with Vogue, Rihanna explained that she's only recently embraced the curves for which she's so famous. "Over the holidays, and even during filming [of Battleship, her upcoming big screen debut], I realized that I actually like my body, even if it's not perfect according to the book. I just feel sexy."

Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million to Japan Disaster Relief

Sandra Bullock (Pacific Coast News)The organization released a statement about the actress' generous contribution: "The American Red Cross is extremely grateful for this generous support from Sandra Bullock and her family. This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan."

This isn't the first time Sandra's coughed up some serious cash to help earthquake relief efforts. Last year she gave $1 million to Doctors Without Borders to assist efforts after the Haiti earthquake.

Willow Smith has some pretty cool friends.

The 10-year-old pop star was spotted hanging out with the one and only Lady Gaga at last month's Grammy Awards—and, according to Willow's mother Jada Pinkett Smith, the pair have a special relationship.

At the launch of Sony Entertainment Television, Jada divulged, "It's funny, I love that she has her affinity for Lady Gaga and Lady Gaga has a lot of affinity for Willow. She has her relationships that I think are very good for her development."

Primer refresco en envase 100% ecológico


Por fin una refresquera trabajó a favor del medio ambiente, se trata de PepsiCo que dio a conocer su nueva botella fabricada totalmente con materia prima vegetal, que según dice mejora la tecnología de su competidor Coca-Cola y reduce su consumo de hidrocarburos.

Aseguran que el nuevo envase luce, se siente y protege la bebida igual que sus botellas actuales.

Ingredientes de la nueva botella: césped, corteza de pino, mazorcas, entre otros materiales. Más adelante, Pepsi planea usar también cáscara de naranja, corteza de roble, restos de papas y otros residuos de su negocio de alimentos.

Según Pepsico, se trata de la primera botella en el mundo de un tipo de plástico llamado PET confeccionado totalmente con material vegetal.

Su competencia, Coca-Cola produce actualmente una botella que usa un 30% de material vegetal y recientemente calculó que tardaría varios años antes de conseguir una botella 100% vegetal comercialmente viable.Lee Más »»
